Jordi has been on a mission for the last five days and counting, which means I haven't heard from him within that time frame. As of lately, our conversational schedule has been far from ideal. Typically, he goes out for about a week and then spends about two days on the FOB. During those two days, he tries to call at least once. Each phone call lasts about twenty minutes. Generally, we spend about fifteen of those minutes catching up on important things that happened throughout the week and the other five minutes are filled with all the reasons we love each other that day and what we're looking forward to most when he gets home.
The thing I'm most missing today is the way he pushes the hair from my face and tucks it behind my ears before he kisses me. Something about the way he can never do it with the same grace as I can, makes it so much sweeter. I also miss the way his dimples seem to appear about a full second before his actual smile does. You can't fake that. I miss my happy guy.
I now know the exact date and time of when I'll get to kiss my sweet husband and welcome him home. Do you know what that does to a girl?! My life has become COUNTDOWN CENTRAL, no matter how hard I try to avoid calendars and numbers. Because of OPSEC rules, I won't put specific details online, so just stay tuned.
