Archer Knox, 17 Months Old

                                         This baby.

He loves: crackers, bread, anything carby. almond milk, like five hundred times a night (because he still doesn't sleep through the night, you guys). playing with his big brother's toy cars. mickey mouse clubhouse, on disney jr. his paci. his daddy- he's a serious daddy's boy. his lovey and stuffed bear, utah.

He hates: pretty much every food that's not bread or bread-like, unless it's puréed baby food. sleeping at night.

Archer is pretty much the happiest baby ever. He says mama, dada, archer, touch it, thank you, ball, hi, tractor, baby, paci, wow, car, bird, and he signs for "more," "please," and "thank you." He blows kisses and gives slobbery smooches, high fives and waves hello and goodbye. He plays peekaboo and pretends to take a nap on command. He doesn't walk or stand on his own yet (the same as Chandler, at that age), but I'm not rushing him- he can stay a baby forever and ever. Except for this whole not sleeping at night thing... That can GO.

Chandler Grey, Age 3

                                            This boy.
He loves:
cars, trucks, tractors and trains. pizza, cheeseburgers, mashed potatoes ("small potatoes"), and strawberries. rides in the truck and trips to ikea. dancing and singing made up songs. new shirts from all over the world. his red sandals. all "the guys" (his stuffed friends)- fox, doggy, tiger, bear and almond the bear. his three blankets: lovey, dinosaur blanket and sassy quilt. going to bed early, around 6:00 each night). breakfast- specifically a granola bar, toast and yogurt. bath time, especially with a movie on the iPad (my kinda kid). facetiming with anyone who will listen to him talk about/show off his toy car collection.

He hates:
eggs and lettuce (like, so bad you guys). breathing treatments on the nebulizer. sharing with his little brother. loud music.

He is 3 feet tall and 33 pounds. And soon he's going to start full day preschool... whenever he's ready to be potty trained, that is.

my, how time has flown by...

So here we are, again. It's been two quick years since I've last blogged, and for the sake of keeping the memories, I intend to pick it back up (even if I'm the only one reading, these days). But then again, I've said that before... So we'll see.

Here goes.

Remember this little guy? Our little Chandler Grey turned one about two years ago. That's right, he's THREE now. He walks and runs and talks and does KID things and it's all still so very very weird. I mean, wasn't he just born like yesterday? So let's do a little catching up on Chandler, over the last two years- seems as good a place as ever to begin, no?

Wait, what? Yeah, we'll get to that part a little bit later...

As you've noticed, I'm sure, our family has grown from three to four, since I last updated! Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce the fourth member of our pack...

Isn't he the sweetest thing you've ever seen in your life? He's an absolute gem and we couldn't possibly be more in love (obviously). Look at our boys! Man, we sure made some cuties...

Back to Blog

It is true, what they say about Instagram:
It will take over your blogging life.

It's been three and a half months since we last met and my oh my has our little Chandler grown. At SEVEN MONTHS OLD (Can you believe that?), he eats solid foods, sleeps around 13 hours every single night and naps around 3 hours every day, is still absolutely glued to his paci, is working on crawling and cutting teeth, says "dada" and is still the happiest little chubby bunny we know.

He's such a good baby!

I would love to say that I'm back for good, but with our moving date coming up quickly (don't worry, we're not going far), I can't promise I'll have internet right away. I'll do my best and update when possible, but until then, please feel free to follow us on Instagram (@divaqueendowler)for daily chan-stagrams!

Side-note: HAPPY 23rd BIRTHDAY TO ME! :D

Our Bedtime Routine

Now that Chandler has his bedtime routine down pat, we're all happy and rested! At 7:30pm, we give him a bath and let him splash for a minute, before greasing him up with lavender baby lotion. Then we put on his jammies and feed him a big bottle of rice and formula. When he's finished, we snuggle for just a little while longer, before laying him in his crib at 8:00pm. He goes right to sleep and doesn't wake up until 5:30am for a bottle, and then goes back down again until 7:30am, when he's up for the day. Since Jordan leaves for work around the same time Chandler wakes up to eat, it makes it really easy to get up and have the bottle ready for him before he gets too fussy.
